This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in quite a while! My two grandsons (19 and 21) and I wandered in there when the restaurant we were heading to was closed. The food was delicious (short ribs, flank steak, charcuterie, brussel sprouts, desserts). The service was excellent and the prices were very reasonable. I had been there many times for breakfast but never for dinner. My grandsons loved it too! We will go back soon!
Delicious healthy food cooked to perfection. Plenty of parking just a few steps away, this awesome restaurant breaks the mold with their wonderful selection you can eat and know you're doing your body good. We were seated promptly at our reservation time at a cozy table looking out the window onto the street surrounded by beautiful artwork by local artists. If you're really lucky your server will be Summer, who knows the menu inside and out was exceptionally friendly and served us with a smile. There are many wonderful dishes to choose from but make sure you don't miss the truffle fries. Can't wait to go back and try some more of their fresh menu items.
Went to Cafe Zola with friends for dinner, and it was a great experience overall. We had a reservation and were seated promptly at our reserved time, which was a nice start to the evening. The menu is limited, but what they offer is well-executed. The absolute standout dish was the Sambar Grilled Chicken Skewers—the sauce was the real star, adding a bold kick that made the dish unforgettable. The flavors still linger, making it a must-try! Though listed as a starter, the portion was generous enough to be a main course. The sauce and chicken complemented each other perfectly, making it a standout dish. We also tried: • Shrimp Tacos – Fresh and flavorful • Brussels Sprouts – Nicely done • Bread Board – A good starter to share • Tofu with Ginger Tahini Sauce – Light yet packed with flavor • Cavalo Nero (Kale pesto & spring pea shoots) – A unique and tasty combination • Tajarin ai Limone with Chicken (customized with added chicken) – So good! The chicken was cooked to perfection. • Faroe Island Salmon Fillet – Well-prepared and delicious The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a great experience. They also offer outdoor seating for summer, which is something I’d love to try next time. They offer vegetarian and gluten-free options, and the staff is accommodating if you need modifications. It’s best to check with them for specific dietary needs For parking, we got lucky since it wasn’t too busy, but during peak hours, finding a spot can be tricky as it’s located downtown. However, a private paid parking lot is just a few steps away, making it convenient. The restaurant falls on the expensive side, and the portions are small, but the flavors make up for it. Next time, I’m definitely trying their crepes and truffle fries! Overall, Great Food, Cozy Ambiance, and Friendly Service. A great spot for a nice meal with friends—just don’t expect a huge menu!
Café Zola - Ann Arbor, MI Tucked in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, Café Zola offers a cozy yet vibrant dining experience that hits all the right notes. I ordered the salmon burger, and it was really good. Tender and flaky on the inside, and topped with pickled ginger, fresh veggies, and a flavorful sauce that tied it all together. The sweet potato fries were crispy and addicting. The espresso martini was the cherry on top smooth, bold, and beautifully presented. If you’re a coffee lover, this one’s a must. The ambiance is stylish yet relaxed perfect for brunch with friends or a casual date night. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. Overall: Café Zola is a gem in Ann Arbor. Amazing food, great drinks, and a vibe that makes you want to linger just a little longer.
The crab cake Benedict was seasoned perfectly. I wish there had been more sauce on the side though. It does not come with hollandaise sauce, it's a creamy dill & lemon sauce. Delicious! My S.O. had the southwest omelette. I didn't taste it, but I did have the potatoes which were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Our server Billy was friendly and knowledgeable about their menu. We will be going back.
We hosted breakfast here which has been around for over a decade and is very popular with the local crowd but we’re able to get in at 9:00m mostly because university of Michigan is closed and not too many kids around. I ordered a FrenchPress coffee and a Southwestern Omelette with a spicy chorizo filling and potatoes which were delicious. Bread came very very late and I had already finished my omelette by then. The food is good but each dish was $22++. And they automatically added 20% gratuity as we were a party of 8.
Delicious Food, we started by splitting the Kale salad, well massaged and flavored, it was easy to eat. I had the bow tie pasta with Kale pesto and pine nuts, it was natural with a slightly earthy taste, so good! Olivia had the crab cakes Benedict and said they were so good. Great Brunch!
